SILENCE
IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ELEMENT OF A GOOD REHEARSAL.  NEITHER THE DIRECTOR NOR THE ENSEMBLE CAN BE CREATIVE IN AN ATMOSPHERE OF CHAOS

  1. 3 claps = complete silence for instructions.
  2. Complete silence when the MAESTRO takes the podium.
  3. Do not talk when the director stops to correct and rehearse parts.
  4. You may talk quietly with youre your stand partner between selections.

"This is your largest class.  To be productive rules must be followed to have a productive rehearsal and achieve the performance goals of the Akron MS Band."          Mr. Flynn & Mr. Mozee
